Rest in Peace, Lilliam Alvarado Jurado

Sad news about our beloved colleague, Lilliam

It is with deep sadness that the Norwegian Seafarers' Union and Seafarers' House, San Juan Inc. announce the sudden passing our colleague, Lilliam Alvarado Jurado.

Lilliam dedicated the last 13 years of her life to working for the wellbeing of seafarers. For the past eight years, she served as a true leader, who genuinely enjoyed her travels to visit crew members on board the cruise ships where they worked and lived. She exhibited the same professionalism in port, as Assistant Manager of the Seafarers' House Welfare Centre in Old San Juan.

Lilliam distinguished herself for her honestly, responsibility, conciliatory skills and kindness. Her customer service was impeccable. She was loyal to Seafarers' House, the union and the seafarers who visit Seafarers' House. The loss of this beloved colleague is a hard blow for our team. She will be missed and remembered with love by her co-workers, the community and the seafarers who interacted with her. We remain grateful for her contribution and join the the grief of her family and friends.

Lilliam is survived by her widower, Winston, her children, Shanai and Samuel, and his grandchildren, Amirah Jireh and Amir Jareh.

Rest in peace.
