Mental health training for Indonesian seafarers

Maritime schools adopt and deliver a programme of wellbeing for maritime school graduates

The Ministry of Sea and Transportation has been working with the ITF, NSU and KPI unions to deliver training for new seafarers graduating from maritime school. The programme is happening all over the country and will equip  new seafarers with the knowledge and skills to help others cope with health challenges while working at sea.

As well as developing resources to deal with mental and physical health challenges, the training also incorporates the latest international standards set by the IMO (International Maritime Organisation) and the ILO (International Labour Organisation).
