Representatives from the Norwegian Seafarers' Union regularly visit ships covered by one of our agreements. The purpose of visiting is mainly to have direct communication with crew members about conditions onboard and whether the agreement is being adhered to. It is also to inform about the union and what we do and what a crew member can do to influence his/her situation for the better. We do also receive individual grievances while onboard.
