The Norwegian Seafarers' Union (NSU) was founded 25th September 1910 and negotiates Collective Bargaining Agreements for deck, engine and catering crew in domestic and international sea transport, for radio officers, ship electricians and stewards and for crew aboard industrial deep sea fishing vessels.
The NSU aims to secure stable and safe wage and working conditions for all groups of seafarers, both domestic and abroad.
The union represents app. 100,000 seafarers, both domestic and non-domestic, working on Norwegian and foreign vessels all over the words.
