The NSU in cooperation with the ITF, Fit-CISL (Italian Seafarers Union) and local unions is conducting seminars to educate seafarers about their rights while working at sea and how to proceed if an agreement is not being adhered to. The goal is to educate as many as possible and for them in return to bring their knowledge back to their ship and educate their fellow crew members. We are currently organizing seminars in Indonesia, the Philippines and India. In 2012, we will also be organizing a seminar in the Caribbean. These are the preliminary dates:
The seminars are held for crew members who are on vacation while the seminar is held and it is always free of charge for participants, including domestic travel from your home town to the seminar. Once final dates and place for upcoming seminars are set, we will post them here.
